The boxing legend set to fight the Youtuber, Logan Paul on June 6. The bout is already considered an “epic event” due to the massive impact they both have.
On Thursday, the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami was the site for the first official event ahead of the exhibition bout between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul, which it nearly ends up in a scrap caused by the controversial brother of the Youtuber, Jake Paul.
After the press conference where ‘Money’ and Logan shared words to try and get the rival mad. Jake met the 44 year-old boxer on his way out and after a very heated conversation the young Youtuber stole Mayweather’s cap saying “gotcha hat”. This action came out causing a big scrap between some members of the security team of ‘Money’ and the man himself Floyd Mayweather against Jake Paul.

The ring legend had to be held back by security after he “lost his head” trying to fight Jake Paul. The multi-weight world champion kept repeating “Don’t disrespect me” “Don’t you ever disrespect me”. The exchange of insults continued for five minutes and once the security of the Hard Rock Stadium put order on the premisses we could manage to hear Floyd say “K*** that mother f*****” and “Don’t play games with me”
Moments before the incident, Jake Paul recorded a TikTok saying “Shhh, I’m about to steal Floyd Mayweather’s hat, I’ll let you guys know how it goes” In the end we all know how it went.
According to an Instagram Story posted by the big brother, Logan Paul, Jake has been banned from the bout and won’t be allowed to attend the event on June 6.

Jake Paul has always been know because of the controversy he creates on social media and this was he did just after the incident with Floyd. He even launched cap merchandising, few hours later, which said “Gotcha hat”.
One of the tweets which did set off the flames was “I stole his hat because he steals peoples money with boring fights”. The issue with this has been that Floyd Mayweather officially retired from professional boxing in August 2017 but since then he has been doing exhibition bouts just for the money and this has lead to boxing fans to say that “Floyd Mayweather has destroyed boxing”.

In 2017, Mayweather and McGregor starred the biggest single payday with a fight worth $275 million. Mayweather was guaranteed $100 million and McGregor $30 million ahead of the bout. The two fighters ended up receiving more than two-and-a-half times their guarantees. Mayweather, as previously mentioned, $275 million and McGregor $80 million. The reason behind this massive pay difference was due to the role Mayweather played in the fight as he was seen as the ‘A’ side of the fight.
Approximately one year later the American boxer came out of his retirement again to earn $9 million after knocking out kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition fight meant to be “all about the entertainment”. This statement caused controversy on boxing fans as they believe boxing nowadays is all about the money, a clear example is the bout occurring in June 6. According to some sources ‘Money’ will be payed $5 million up front and 50% of all the sales of the pay-per-view. On the other side, Logan will be payed $200.000 up front and only 5% of the pay-per-view sales although Logan himself claims that the estimates are “way off”.
it’s finally official... fighting @FloydMayweather at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday, June 6.
