England Manager Gareth Southgate explained that Rico Lewis, “Should be really proud, because we are”, In England’s 1-1 draw against North Macedonia on Monday. Rico conceded a penalty in the first-half but Southgate described that, “Rico showed great resilience”, and “great composure”.
The Manchester City full-back played a full game on his debut and impressed the England boss throughout the match, as he sung his praises in the press-conference after the draw.
