It’s finally the lead up to Christmas, however, for some this time of the year is filled with worry and panic. Student loans are running out and the expectation for Christmas to this perfect occasion has a daunting effect on many people.
First year student, Amelia Zarezadeh is currently experiencing her first Christmas at university. She said: “Having to worry about food and everyday living is already a struggle and now with Christmas on top it’s even worse.” The reality that young people are deeply struggling at this time of year is a worry for what will occur for future generations.
Amelia also said: “Because of the worry about money it takes the excitement away that i once experienced as a kid.” It shows that even at the age of 18, the concern of financial difficulties can have a damaging effect on a perfect Christmas.
