Term time has started back at schools so we are about to start another programme, The programme is about developing participants though invasion games. I am feeling very confident about this programme as I feel like I can develop many different activities to test the participants.

Today if found that many of the participants weren’t engaging with the activities, I feel like this was due to them not really understanding the activities. There was also an incident were a participant fell over and hit their head, I used what I learnt in my Level 1 to assess to see if there was any signs of concussion, as I couldn’t see any I still recommend he sat out and the teacher keep an eye on him for the rest of the day.

The activities were team based holding games, as we wanted to promote recover runs as these are vital in many team sports.

I felt very nervous when helping the injured participant but knowing I had the support of the head coach so I knew if I had any questions, he would of helped me out gave me the confident to help him out.

In conclusion, I feel like I am finally understanding the role of the coach. The activities didn’t go great but it’s a learning curve I felt like I needed.
