Hours: 1

Total hours: 112

This hour was achieved by completing the RFU head case course online. This involves completing the online learning sections about what concussion is, how concussion can be prevented, the risks involved and how a player with concussion should be treated on the field of play.

At the end of the online learning sections, there was an assessment to assess knowledge from the previous sections to complete the course.

Completing this hour has taught how concussions should be properly managed when working on pitch side, as well as the benefits of ensuring that concussion is educated to the players, staff and any parents or spectators. This will also help in the recognition of the signs of a concussion faster which will benefit the health of the player involved.

After completing this hour, further revision will be completed into what is concussion and how this can be prevented through CPD.
