Programme Structure
Week 1-6
- 1 x synchronous exercise class online
- 1 x asynchronous exercise class
- 1 x build your own home workout
- 1 x 1 hour phone call each week
Week 1-12
- 1 x exercise class in person
- 1 x asynchronous exercise class
- 1 x build your own gym workout (completed in a 2-hour supervised drop-in window)
- 1 x 1 hour phone call each week
Programme Safety
- Prior to inclusion, participants are screened by physiotherapists to assess eligibility.
- Exacerbation of symptoms/ new onset of symptom are referred to a clinical escalation team who decide if the participants needs to be paused. If a participant is paused they need GP clearance before resuming the programme.
- During phone calls, patients are always screened for post-exertional malaise (PEM) and postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTs).
