9:00­–      planned out my gym session with client at 11:00

10:30–   set up and prepared for client to arrive at 11:00

11:00   client arrived and I took the client(ruptured ACL) into the gym where I had set up and planned a gym session using GymAware to calculate the Hex-bar deadlift and squat 1 rep max of the client as I do not want to push him to a 1 rep max because he has no ACL.

Session –

Warm up

10x bw hip thrusters, 5x 12kg hip thrusters, 20x 6kg Kettle bell swings, 10x Resisted hip extension (donkey kicks)

1 min 30 sec rest between sets all the below.

Hex Dead Lift

3x 20kg, 3x 40kg, 3x 60kg, 3x 70kg, 3x 80kg

Squat

3x 20kg, 3x 40kg, 3x 60kg, 3x 70kg, 3x 80kg

GymAware used for 1RM Prediction (VBT – Velocity based Transducer). Pt’s predicted 1 rep max was calculated at 118.9kg.

I set Home Based Exercise(HBE) for the client to complete between now and the next session.

Client to complete 3 sets daily between next session:

8x body weight seated pistol squat, 8x resistant band leg curls, 8x kitbag RDL, 15x kit bag dead lift, 8x kettlebell swing 5kg, 8x Nordic Leg Curl, 8x resistant band leg extension

3 – 5 x a week.

12:00   LUNCH

13:00–   wrote email to client to confirm the HBE I set as well as asking him to complete KOO’s.

13:30   stated to write my notes of the session from my client at 11:00

14:00   looked over my notes with Mike and finished up any corrections.

14:30–   I finished up for the day as I had finished everything I needed to do, and the clinic did not need me to do anything.

Today was quite a relaxed day as did not have anyone booked in at 9am so had plenty of time to plan and set up for my client at 11:00. I enjoyed the relaxed feeling of only having 1 client but at the same time it felt like it dragged a little. I had loads of time to plan which made the session a very good work out as well as getting an objective maker for his rehabilitation . My notes required very little corrections as I had a lot of time to complete them and was in no rush at all.
