I had a 2 hour open clinic session for Marjon University. My first hour contained of looking at a clients back and shoulder. They complained about turning their head fully. This then relates to struggling to pick their 2 year old up and to driving because they struggle to look out the windows as they cannot turn their head fully. They also have a sit-down job so the movement is minimal on a daily basis. This could also lead to bad posture issues. Their trapezius and rhomboids were tight so those were my focal points for the 30 minute massage. The aim for the next session would be to complete another soft tissue massage and give stretches to help release the tightness of the muscles and check for any improvements.

My second hour for this open clinic I had a very similar client however the reasons for pain are different due to other social influences. This client is a hockey, lacrosse and basketball player. This will cause tightness is their dominant side due to being over worked.
