Formative Assessment Feedback- January 2020

My placement supervisor for Marjon Women’s Rugby team has provided me with Formative Assessment feedback based on my strengths and weaknesses at the halfway point of my placement (10/01/2020). This link should take you to the official PDF.

The feedback my supervisor for this placement gave to me included the following;

Formative:
What are the students’ Strengths?
  • Enthusiasm – Nat has always been an enthusiastic member of the team and shown a willingness to engage even if she might not be the most confident at the topic but showing a willingness and positive attitude towards learning.
  • Communication – Nat’s ability to communicate either verbally and or written/alternative means of communication is exemplary, she has provided me with evidence of this at multiple times throughout the year already in difficult situations that she has found herself whilst either managing casualties or generally within the pitch-side and clinical context.
  • Organization – Id like to commend Nat for her ability to be able to organize herself efficiently, both in terms of Hours being signed off, Registering on In-Place and also within the confines of the work she carries out, ensuring that she is adequately prepared for events to the best of her ability and qualifications allow her to be.
What would you like to see the student concentrate on, or develop, in the remainder of their time on placement?
  • Competency – Whilst Nat shows a good variety of skills and adequate knowledge in her clinical skills, I’d like her to become more competent in the foundations of Emergency trauma, whilst also appreciating it is quite complex and new to her.
